The a bit of the “How it Works”
Basically, these lamps use a mercury-arc discharge to pump out a concentrated blast of UV light. We focus heavily on keeping the arc voltage stable. Why? Because if the power dips or jumps, you get those dreaded “zebra stripes”—random patches of uncured ink that make the whole batch useless. We make sure the light stays steady so your curing is uniform from edge to edge.
Built for the Heat
We use high-purity fused quartz for the glass. It’s clear, tough, and lets the UV rays through without soaking them up. Depending on how fast your conveyor is moving, you can pick the length and wattage that fits your setup. Just a heads-up: more wattage means a stronger UV dose, but it also means a lot more heat. Make sure your exhaust hoods are actually doing their job. If the heat piles up, you’re looking at scorched fabric or shrinkage, and nobody wants that.
Keeping Things Running
These are designed to be simple drop-in replacements. They fit right into most standard industrial frames. We also beefed up the end-caps because we know these lamps expand and shrink every time you flip the switch. It keeps them from cracking under the pressure. But look, these lamps aren’t forever. Over time, they go through “solarization”—which is just a fancy way of saying they lose their punch. Keep an eye on your lamp hours. If you push them too far, you’ll start noticing tacky surfaces on your fabric and your reject pile will grow. One last tip: use a stable ballast and clean wiring. It’s the easiest way to make sure your lamps don’t burn out way before their time.
