
Getting the Most Out of Your UV Curing Tubes
If you’re printing on textiles, you know that the UV lamp is basically the heart of the whole operation. It’s what actually sets the ink. Here is the thing about long-life tubes: it’s all a balancing act between the electrodes and the quartz glass. We use high-purity fused quartz so the tubes don’t warp or bow when things get hot. But a word of caution—watch your ballast. It’s tempting to crank up the voltage to get a bit more intensity, but don’t do it.
